Lucile Bird Webb Grandma-Great 1918 ~ 2006 Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lucile Bird Webb, passed away peacefully January 17, 2006, surrounded by her children. The third of six children, Lucile was born to K.J. and Lola Bradley Bird on January 10, 1918 in Farmington, Utah. Lucile grew up in American Fork, Utah where she graduated from American Fork High School. She was active in opera, drama and loved all things musical. She married Dean S. Webb on October 26, 1936. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on May 5, 1938. Dean and Lucile enjoyed 62 years of marriage together. Lucile enjoyed serving in various positions in the LDS church and was a worker in the Jordan River Temple. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and "Grandma Great." She loved spending time with her family and especially loved Christmas. Lucile was a terrific saleswoman and worked for many years at Auerbachs and Weinstocks. She was always one of the very top sales people. Customers would ask for her specifically to help them. She was the ultimate shopper and was ready to go anytime anybody even mentioned "shopping." Mom and Dad loved to travel. One of their favorite places was the family cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Dad was always known to find the best dirt "back roads" and off they'd go to new adventures. Lucile was preceded in death by her husband Dean, son Bradley D., her parents, two sisters and a brother. She is survived by her daughters, Lola (Glade) Peterson of Sandy; Jane (Norman) Christensen of Midvale; and son Blake J. (Loralyn) Webb of Sandy; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathryn (Virgil) Wootton, Ruth Hales; sister-in-law Zada Phillips; and brother-in-law Russell (Yvonne) Webb.
