West Valley police are investigating a walk-by shooting.

Just after 2 a.m. Thursday, someone walked up to a window at a house near 3900 South and 6000 West and fired a shot through the window, said West Valley Police Capt. Tom McLachlan.

The bullet lodged in an opposite wall. No one was injured.

Investigators found shoe prints in the snow leading up to the window.

Police continued to search for the gunman and a motive.
