Douglas N. Pearce 1962 - 2006 Our beloved husband, father, brother, son and friend Doug Pearce, 43, was tragically taken from us by a sudden heart attack Jan. 18, 2006. Born in Salt Lake City on May 11, 1962, Doug graduated from Viewmont High School in 1980, and married his longtime sweetheart Debbie Michels in 1999. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; his children Christopher, Amber, Aimie, Mindy, and Dallin; mother Gay Hoskins (Wayne); father Ray Pearce (Barbara); brother Ray, and sisters Robyn and Jacquie (Brady). Doug loved football, and was an avid fan of the "U" and the Pittsburg Steelers. He has been tailgating at Ute home games and loving every minute of it for over 20 years. The highlight of his passion for the Utes may have been last year's Fiesta Bowl, which Doug attended with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father who doted on his family and was happiest when he was with them, camping at their favorite spots, playing horseshoes, or just hanging out at home. Everyone who knew Doug soon loved him, and his kindness and compassion earned him a legion of lifelong friends. Funny, easy-going, and with a heart of gold, Doug will be sorely missed by his family and friends, whose hearts are broken by his sudden departure. We love you Doug - it won't be nearly as fun without you with us! A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2006 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive. A second viewing will be held on Monday, January 23, 2006 from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 pm at Wasatch Lawn, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the same address. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Doug Pearce Memorial Fund at any branch of Zions First Nat'l Bank.
