Salt Lake City police were looking Tuesday for two people believed to have broken into a Macintosh store and stolen several iPods.

Just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, the front window of MacDocs, 1435 S. State, was broken, said Salt Lake City Police detective Dwayne Baird. The burglars then broke a glass cabinet and took four regular iPods and two Nanos, he said.

A large rock and hammer were found inside the store. Investigators believe the items may have been used to break through the front glass door.

Detectives also believe one of the burglars may have been cut while taking the iPods.

"There was a lot of blood inside the building, a lot of blood leading outside the store," Baird said.

The injury appeared to be extensive enough that it would require medical attention, he said. About the same time and location as the burglary, there was a call for medical personnel to help a man who had cut his leg, he said.

Police were investigating Tuesday afternoon to determine if the incidents were related.
