William G. Poulsen 1937 ~ 2006 William G. Poulsen, born May 3, 1937 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Joseph C. and Cleo Poulsen. He passed away at home January 23, 2006 in West Jordan, Utah. Bill farmed with his father in the Ashton, Idaho area. He attended South Fremont High School in St. Anthony, was the Senior Class President and played on the varsity basketball team. He attended Idaho State and USU graduating with a degree in Forestry. He married Barbara Birch in St. Anthony in 1958. They were sealed in the Ogden Temple in 1975. He was in charge of the State Tree Nursery while employed by the State of Utah. Later he was employed by Miller Floral in Farmington and then moved his family to Florida where he worked for Pan American Plant Co. and later Yoder Bro. He held many positions for the Church having served on four High Councils while in Florida and one in Utah. He was Bishop of the Bradenton 1st Ward twice. He retired in 1999 and returned to Utah where he worked for Porter Lane Nursery and seasonally at Glover Nursery. He is survived by his wife; sons, Mike and Bruce (Lori); and five grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, January 28th at the Copper Hills 14th Ward, 9227 Wild Clover Lane (4900 W.) in West Jordan, viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with the services at 11:00 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
