Obituary: Helen Erickson Ohrn

Helen Erickson Ohrn 1919 ~ 2006 Helen Kathryn Erickson Ohrn, 86, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 in South Jordan. She was born March 19, 1919, in Salt Lake City to Clarence and Ida Aldous Erickson. Helen married Holger E. Ohrn in 1936 in Bountiful. Together they had four children. She was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a primary secretary and teacher, Relief Society secretary and visiting teacher and a worker at the Jordan River Temple. She was a volunteer at Primary Children's Hospital. She was an accomplished artist in oil paintings and needlework. She is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, one sister and a son-in-law. Survivors include four children, Nancy (Marlowe) Gwynn, Jerry (Lorraine) Ohrn, Kristi (Mike) Salazar and Marjorie Freebairn; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their thanks to Legacy House Assisted Living and CareSource for all of their love and care. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 1st at 12 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive. Condolences at
