Obituary: Marvin William Kelly

Marvin William Kelly "Will be greatly Missed" Marvin William Kelly, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and best friend, passed away peacefully January 28, 2006 with family members by his side. Born February 18, 1920 in Sylvester, TX to William Lamb and Cora Early Kelly. Married Dorothy Todd May 29, 1943; solemnized June 8, 1962 in the Logan Temple. He enlisted in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He loved his country and was proud to have served it. He was an avid gardener and liked to share his vegetable garden with family, neighbors and friends. He was generous and very dedicated to his family. His wit and sense of humor made him fun to be around and endeared him to many. He had a gift for making those around him feel like they were something special. Survived by his wife, Dorothy, West Jordan; children: Jeane (Lamont) Nibarger, Spokane, WA; Gary (Sue) Kelly, Murray; David (Judy) Kelly, Bountiful; Carla Kelly (Lon Lorimor), Sandy; Janet Kelly (Ben) Lee, West Jordan; Sheri Kelly, Nashville, TN; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grand-children; two sisters, Jean and Collene, Abilene, TX; brother, Mickey, Baird, TX. Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; sister. The family would like to give a special thanks to those at the Holladay Health Care Center and Hearts for Hospice who loved our dad and took such good care of him so he could be as comfortable as possible and able to stay with us a little longer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at the Jordan Oaks LDS Chapel, 3760 West Judd Lane (9380 South). A viewing will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
