Melvin A. Johnson In Loving Memory Melvin Alfred Johnson, 91, died October 4, 2006 in Bountiful, Utah. Born August 5, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Axel and Beda Wilhelmina Lund Johnson. Married Katherine Dover September 22, 1947 in Elko, NV. Melvin was a member of the LDS Church. Graduated from West High School Class of 1933 and attended the U of U. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Worked at Hill Air Force Base as an Industrial Engineer for 31 years, during which time he served a year in Vietnam. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and camping with his family. He loved to dance and listen to Big Band and Piano Music. Survived by wife; stepson, Don L. (Carrie) Morris; son, Wayne R. (Gayle); daughter Wendy C. (Robert) Russon; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, George McLeod; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9, 2006, 11 am, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may call Sunday 6-8 pm and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences at www.larkinmortuary.com
