Amos Hart 1921 ~ 2006 Amos White Hart, 85, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and brother, died peacefully October 3, 2006. He was born August 9, 1921 to Jay Bushnell and Mina White Hart in Red Bluff, Tehama County, California. He graduated from Castlemont High School in Richmond, California. Amos was a World War II Veteran and served as an MP at Camp Kearns in the Army Aircorp. He was employed by the Denver Rio Grande Railroad for 38 years. He coached Little League Baseball for eight years. He was a High Priest in the Sandy 2nd Ward. Dad enjoyed spending time with his family, reading books, visiting with his friends at Johanna's and watching BYU Sports. He was a resident of Sandy City for over 60 years. Dad married Marie Adella Smith February 1, 1944 in Sandy, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the LDS Temple. They were married for 62 years, an accomplishment Dad was quite proud of. He is survived by his wife, Marie, Sandy, Utah; children, Owen (Pat), Gardner, Mass.; Calvin, Allen, Brent and Mina, all Sandy; Terry (Brenda), West Jordan; son-in-law, Jerrald Sevy, Centerfield; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grand-children; one great-great-grandson; brother, Alden, Gerber, California; sister, Lona Knedler, Red Bluff, California. Preceded in death by daughter, Elaine Sevy; parents; two brothers and one sister. The family wishes to thank all of Amos' caregivers, especially Greg, Wyatt, Stephanie, Tyrone and Jo. Dad was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9, 2006 at 12 Noon in the Sandy 1st Ward, 220 E. 8650 South, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Sunday 6-8 p.m. or Monday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
