Avis W. Havir "Our's til Butterflies" "We Love You, Mom" On Monday, October 2, 2006, our beautiful mother chose to leave her home, family and friends to reunite with her husband, mother, father, two brothers and sister. Mom was born May 31, 1931 to Bernard G. and Grace W. Williams in Peoa, Utah. Previously married to Glen McBride, Elvan Mellor and finally forever to George J Havir, December 29, 1958. Survived by brother, Dale and Donna Williams- Peoa, UT; and seven children, Connie and Skip- Salt Lake City; Cathy and Fred Rudolph- Salt Lake City; Marty and Karen Mellor- Palmdale, CA; Jeff and Becky Mellor- Salt Lake City; Holly and Jack Nelson- Grantsville, UT; Pyper and Ernie Dixon- Silver Springs, MD; and Kelly- Salt Lake City. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30.5 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She worked many occupations, but her favorite job was with Granite School District at Granger High and Kennedy Junior High until her retirement in 1996. Mom loved flowers, fishing, butterflies, dancing, western music, large family gatherings, and the color purple. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 9, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery- 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah. A luncheon will follow at Jeff and Becky's home located at 2240 West 4805 South in Taylorsville. A special thanks to all who shared their friendship.
