Obituary: Marjorie May Nelson Eaker Chambers

Marjorie May Nelson Eaker Chambers 1917 ~ 2006 Marjorie May Nelson Eaker Chambers, born August 9, 1917, to Adelia Pearl Bird and Fredrick Wilbur Nelson, passed away in her sleep on October 4, 2006. She married Floyd Oral Eaker who was killed in World War II. She raised their two children and worked for 20 years as a bookkeeper at Valley Bank and Trust. On October 27, 1967, Marge married Clifford Coon Chambers in the Salt Lake Temple. They served together in the Jordan River Temple for 17 years. Marge enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful roses. Marge leaves behind her husband, Cliff; son, Alan Floyd Eaker; and two stepdaughters, JoAnne Morgan and Leslie Hansen. She is also survived by her granddaughter, JeriLyn Breshears and five great-grand-daughters; sister, Helene Neff; and brothers, Fred, Howard, and Stanley Nelson. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Lynn Janson and brother, Frank Nelson. Funeral services will be Monday, October 9, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Wesley Road Chapel, 5235 Wesley Rd. (1107 E.), Salt Lake City. Friends may call at the church one hour before the service. A viewing will also be held Sunday, October 8, 5-7 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
