John H. Wing 1932 ~ 2006 John H. Wing, loving husband, father, grandpa and friend, passed away on October 5, 2006. He was born on March 30, 1932 in American Fork, Utah, the son of Ella Mae Clinger and John Hildebrand Wing. Jack, as he was known by friends, lived a full life. He enjoyed being with his family, camping, hiking, biking and anything that dealt with fishing and the outdoors. He was also an active member of the Tin Can Club. Dad had a great love for animals whether a dog, cat, peacock, goose, etc. they were always guaranteed a home. Jack married Janet Peay on August 29, 1958. They were married for 48 years and were blessed with four children. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in chemistry. He worked for Geneva Steel for 36 years in the Chemistry lab, Open hearth, and Foundry. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; sons, Kent (Pamela) Wing, John (Brenda) Wing; daughters, Lisa (Bruce) Bown, DeAnna (Ryan) Brown; grandchildren and great-grand-children, sisters, Annette Taylor, Diane Miner; and a brother, Stephan Wing. Our family wishes to thank all the family and friends who provided care and support for our dad and family. We love you "Dad", and we will miss you. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Hillcrest Stake Center, 1450 South 800 East, Orem. Family and friends may visit Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
