Those who argue for heavy taxation of the rich may not realize that they themselves are wealthy — compared to someone else. The redistribution of wealth is never satisfied. It deprives people of their moral agency, while cutting back the standard of living until everyone is equally starving poor.
There is a better way. We should actually clothe the naked and feed the hungry rather than force other people to do it for us through an inefficient, pork-laden bureaucracy.
