Draper's public image is under assault again, but this time the attack is from within. Draperites and their leaders go shamelessly before the cameras and bluntly defend their "gated community" model of city planning. First it was Deseret Industries not being posh enough for their town, then the proliferation of charter schools being used as quasi-private schools in Draper neighborhoods. Now, they are indignantly complaining about a TRAX extension running through Draper on a UTA-owned right of way.
UTA should exercise their property rights as well as any other property holder. Maybe some members of the community will learn to live together in a less-than-perfect world.
