Bear River back rushed for 164 yards on 20 carries. On several occasions, his big runs deep into Snow Canyon territory helped set up touchdowns.


Leading 14-0 midway through the second quarter, Bear River defensive end Darin Toone intercepts Snow Canyon's Jaden Willard inside Warrior territory. Five plays later, the Bears score again and take permanent control.


Bear River's decision to pound the ball away at Snow Canyon. Really, this was a no-brainer for coach Chris Wise. But the decision pays big dividends for the Bears, who wind up rushing for 324 yards on a whopping 52 attempts.

Three of Bear River's top contributors — Lendel Jeppesen, Garland Munns and Tyson Rasmussen — all graduate, and it will take a lot to replace them as the Bears go for a repeat. Meanwhile, Snow Canyon moves up to 4A but returns junior Dalton Groskruetz, sophomore Adam Timo and others.
