SHARE Obituary: Eva (Eve) MacNaughtan Hood

Eva M. Hood Eve Eva (Eve) MacNaughtan Hood, 83, passed away peacefully at home Friday, November 3, 2006. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Richard Hood of Eugene, OR, and two married daughters: Marsha Wilson (Alan Wilson) of Hurricane, UT, and Michelle Eldridge (Michael Eldridge) of Eugene, OR. Surviving siblings include Tom MacNaughtan of Heber City, UT, and Carol Harnden of SLC, UT. A third sibling, Tony Waldbeizer, passed earlier this year. Born in Heber City, UT on March 18, 1923, Eve was a joy to all around her, and despite numerous health issues throughout her life, always kept her sense of humor and willingness to help others. Active in the LDS Church, she took great joy in her various callings and responsibilities. She especially enjoyed genealogical research and uncovered tremendous amounts of information on her family lines. She loved gardening, reading, needlework and family. She is and ever will be deeply missed. A graveside service is planned for Thursday, November 9, at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 Memory Lane (off Murray-Holladay Road), at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon following (location to be announced at service). A second memorial in Eugene, OR is in the planning stages.
