Maureen Bailey Maxwell 1941 ~ 2006 Maureen Bailey Maxwell died suddenly of an anoxic brain injury on Nov. 4, 2006 at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on April 11, 1941 in Provo, Utah to John Oakley Bailey and Geraldine Christina Jeppesen. As a young girl she loved cats, took ballet, played the violin and was very interested in art. After graduating from West Jordan High School, she attended the University of Utah and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She nearly completed her Master's Degree in Psychology; however, she decided it was more important to stay home with her family. Later on, she worked as a Real Estate Agent in Alabama, a Credit System Sales Representative in California, and then as a Medical Transcriptionist at California's Stanford University Kidney Transplant Clinic. She loved to read and converse with others, but mostly she loved to spend time with her long-time love of over 35 years, "Max," debating and philosophizing anything and everything. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, cousin, or friend, her kindness, devotion and compassion were without equal; she always put others' needs before her own. After only six weeks apart, she is now reunited and at peace with her true love and soul mate, "Max." She will be deeply missed and always remembered. She will be buried and remembered at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, UT on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. The viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary on Friday, November 10th between 6 and 8 p.m. A gathering will follow the funeral to reminisce and remember Maureen; the location will be announced at the service. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Angela Christina Borges (Jason), Elaina, and Ila Marie; her two loving step-sons, Shane and Rich, Jr.; five grandchildren, Rodney, Forrest, Shanele, Jaselyn, and Alexandria; and three great-grand-children, Samantha, Dustin and Cameron.
