SOFTBALL: Utah Valley State coach Todd Fairbourne has signed Abigail Bowcutt and Kristin Lane to letters of intent. Both players are high school seniors this year and will join the Wolverines for the 2008 season. Bowcutt is from Mountain Crest High.
MEN'S BASKETBALL: Joe Walker has been named independent newcomer of the week for his performance last week at Western Illinois. Walker came off the bench to score 14 points and grab eight rebounds in the 77-75 road victory.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Center Robyn Fairbanks was named Division I Independent player of the week on Tuesday after averaging 23.7 points and 12 rebounds per game as the Wolverines were a perfect 3-0 last week.
