Salt Lake Valley Recycling's information office would like to remind customers about some rules for recycling Christmas trees:

Do not put Christmas trees in your garbage can because the trees will not be recycled when mixed in with the garbage.

Do not leave ornaments, lights and tinsel on your tree, as these items do not decompose.

Do not leave trees that are flocked or in plastic bags. Flocking cannot be composted, nor can large plastic bags.

The Recycling Hotline is 974-6902. For the nearest recycling location, go to www.recycle.slco.org.
