Cherie Dawn Jackman Kennedy 1932 ~ 2006 Beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother passed away December 27, 2006. Born September 20, 1932 to Odie Ray and Clem Turner Jackman. Cherie grew up in Murray Utah and graduated from Murray High school. She would always say that high school was the best time of her life. Married Joseph Hugh Kennedy, May 5, 1951 and had four children. They later divorced. Survived by her mother Clem Turner Williams, sisters Shirlee (Don) Jacobson, Michael (Denis) Morrill, children Bridgette and Kent Bateman, Odie Kennedy, Collette and Cory Foster, Joel and Kimberly Kennedy, eight grand children and seven great-grandchildren. Cherie exemplified many Christ-like attributes such as patience, long suffering and enduring to the end, she shared these wonderful qualities with all she came in contact with. She never had a negative thing to say. "I'm fine kid" was her typical response, even when you knew she wasn't. Mom had a smile that would light up the room and eyes that sparkled like stars. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her father Odie Ray Jackman whom she missed immensely, brother Bob Jackman and two grandsons. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Winchester Ward, 6300 South 700 West, where friends and family may call from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the services. The family would like to thank Dr. Wyne and all the staff that cared for Mom at Sandy Regional Medical Center, especially Basil. Online Condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
