The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service announced that sign-up for its 2006 Conservation Security Program will be held from Monday until March 31 for the Lower Bear-Malad Watershed, which covers an area from Brigham City to Malad, Idaho.
To qualify, the bulk of a producer's agricultural operation must fall within the watershed boundaries.
Producers may begin the process by filling out a self-assessment to see if they meet the program qualifications. Workbooks are available at USDA Service Centers within the watershed and electronically at www.nrcs.usda.gov/programs/csp.
