The Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was awarded Tuesday with the Presidential Award of Distinction by the Utah Peace Officers Association.
The annual award is given to an officer, agency or task force for extraordinary service to the public. Last year the task force led the nation in the number of arrests, per capita, of Internet predators attempting to meet children for sexual purposes.
