Eldon Wiley Bates 1925 ~ 2006 Eldon W. Bates, born February 20, 1925 to the late Clement and Priscilla Bates, passed away at the age of 80 on Feb. 15, 2006 of kidney failure. Married Donna Poulton in the Salt Lake Temple, 1956. Faithful member of the LDS Church. The best decision of his life was to marry Donna. With her love and support, he accomplished many things. Eldon will be remembered by his appreciation of classical music; dedication to HAM radio; and love of fishing. He enjoyed reading about his hobbies and interests and continued to learn throughout his life. Although he was in poor health for many years, dad went peacefully. Survived by his children, Edna (James) Beadles; Philip (Stacy) Bates; Janet (Bradley) Stewart; Staci Bates and fiancg will be held at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 So.) on Saturday, February 18, from 10:00-10:45 a.m. with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
