AlRay Orton 10/9/1934 ~ 1/30/2006 Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on January 30th in the loving arms of his family following a long illness. He was born in Parowan, UT on October 9, 1934 to Oscar Taylor and Mammie Orton. He married Dorothy Bentley Orton, the love of his life, on June 5, 1954. They were married 52 happy years together. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. He loved to fish and hunt. Hunting every year was like a family reunion. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union for 50 years. He was a gentle, loving man who was loved by all who knew him. He was known to his friends as "Cat." AlRay is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his four children, Kevin (Virginia), Brent (Cindy), Michelle (Richard), LoriAnn (Kim); 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2006 at 12 noon at the Union 4th Ward, 6710 So. 1300 E. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the church on Friday prior to services.
