Jeremy Ryan Reed, 21, who crashed into Hunter High School sophomore Gregorio Rodriguez Jr., killing the 15-year-old, has pleaded guilty to second-degree felony auto homicide and was sentenced to one to 15 years in prison.

Reed was set to be sentenced March 10, but his sentencing was held last Friday before 3rd District Judge Dennis Frederick.

Other charges against Reed were dismissed as part of a plea bargain.

The judge recommended Reed receive substance abuse therapy and medications for mental health problems while in prison.
