Grace K. Herron 1911 ~ 2006 Grace L. Kirk Herron passed away at the age of 94 on February 21, 2006 in West Valley City, Utah. Grace was born to Fred and Sarah Shields Kirk on December 18, 1911 in Pine Canyon, Tooele County. The fifth child of seven girls and two boys. On September 11, 1927 Grace married Roy J. Herron in Farmington, Utah. They lived in Magna and moved to Granger for the last 60 years. They received three community awards for their yard and home for being so tidy. Grace loved to sing both at school and church. This talent was passed along to her daughter, Shauna and continues today through a great granddaughter, Katie Fellows. Grace was preceded in death by husband, Roy J. Herron; son, Ronald Dawayne Herron; daughters, Beverly (Shauna) Herron Wright and Lila Lee Herron Johnson; grandsons, Darren Fellows and Billy Herron; granddaughters, Jane Marie and Loraine Herron; brothers, Oral Kirk (Agnes Taylor) and Don L. Kirk (Margene Barrus); sisters, Ada Smith (Will Beagley), Stella Smith (Les Opie), Flora Smith (Dafferner), Jennie Kirk (Archy Buckingham), Lucille Kirk (Leo Bevan) and Sadie Kirk (Orrin Hendee). She has 19 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and 12 great-great- grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. Friends may call from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service Saturday. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
