SPRINGVILLE — Kate Lowder directs "The Importance of Being Earnest" at the Art City Playhouse.

Cast members include Shea Potter as Algernon, Amanda Wilks and Morgan Long as Cecily, April Fossen as Gwendolyn, DeShawn Smith as Jack, Jason Wadsworth as Dr. Chausible, Wendy Asay as Miss Prism, Lisa Hill and Bracknell Lady and Johnita Morton as Lane and Merriman.

"The Importance of Being Earnest" is a play written by Oscar Wilde that makes fun of the British upper-class with lighthearted satire and humor.

The play focuses on two young men, Jack and Algernon, both in love with women determined to marry a husband named Ernest.
