Ila Tonks Cottrell "Together Again" KAYSVILLE - Ila Tonks Cottrell, 86, passed away Saturday morning, February 25, 2006. She was born in Round Valley, Morgan County, Utah to Charles W. and Nina Porter Tonks, March 8, 1919 and was raised in Morgan. On June 10, 1938, she married Binden Blood Cottrell in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and they made their home in Kaysville. Ila was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served with her husband in the Texas-Houston mission, and she also served for many years as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple. Mother loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren, and they will all miss her. She is survived by her six children, Kenneth (Yvonne), Double Oak, Texas; Steven (Geraldine), Bountiful; Gordon (Cindy), West Valley; Sharene (Stephen) Thomas, Centerville; Lanny (Sandy), Layton; and Elaine (Russell) Carter, Vernal. She is also survived by two sisters, Deone Durrant, Maye Francis; and brother, Ray Whitaker, all of Morgan. She also has 28 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Binden, preceded her in death; as did two grandchildren, Rena and Jeffrey. A special thank you to the caregivers at Avalon Care Center for their love and compassionate service. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2006, 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Gailey Park Ward Chapel, 50 W. 331 S. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
