Roger Ball, the former executive director of the Utah Committee of Consumer Services, and Claire Geddes, a citizen activist, have asked the state Public Service Commission to reconsider its decision that passes $18 million in natural gas processing costs to Questar Gas Co. customers.
On Monday, Ball filed 44 more petitions on behalf of Salt Lake-based Questar Gas customers, asking the PSC to let Ball and Geddes intervene in the matter.
"The commission has now received more than 1,500 statements from Utah residents and small-business owners who use natural gas for space and water heating," Ball said in a statement. "Questar customers are paying the highest gas prices in the history of the company. It is at times like these that the public's interest in the role of the Public Service Commission is the highest."
