Robert Reed Bezzant 1951 ~ 2006 Robert Reed Bezzant, age 54 died February 6, 2006 at his home in Orem from the effects of recurrent cancer of the stomach and digestive tract. He was attended by his wife, Alice, daughter, Erin and family members at his passing. Robert was born in Sparta, Wisconsin, June 15th, 1951. His father was stationed at nearby Camp McCoy, Wisconsin, called up in the Korean conflict. Bob was raised and schooled in Alhambra and Monterey Park, California from 1952 to 1964. The family then moved to Hillsborough, on the San Francisco Peninsula of Northern California. Upon graduation from San Mateo High School he attended BYU Idaho for two years then married Dana Feriante (later divorced) and fathered two daughters, Elaine and Stephanie, with her. Later the family moved to West Los Angeles and Orange County. He was active in the Young Men's and the Elder's programs of the LDS Church in Southern California. He was endowed at the Los Angeles Temple. Bob excelled in sports having great hand/eye coordination all his life. Baseball, softball, golf, automobile racing, trap and skeet shooting were favorites. He had many trophies to attest his skills. Bob's professional career included machinery sales, insurance claim adjusting, home and building contracting and sales representative of a packaging company of late. Bob married Alice Camp, his surviving wife, on October 5, 1991. Together they enjoyed a loving relationship while raising daughter Erin, 17, who survives Bob along with daughters, Elaine, Anaheim, CA; and Stephanie (Jason) Collette, Visalia, CA. He is also survived by his father Robert Glen, brothers; William (Nieto), Saipan; Dan (Susan), Pleasanton, CA; sisters, Julianne (Mark), Provo; Merilee (Cliff), Leesburg, VA; and Jolene (Steve), Yuba City, CA. His mother, Elaine, died five months previously in August 2005. Bob has three grandchildren and numerous cousins, and in-laws. His funeral will be held at the Sharon Orem 3rd Ward Chapel, 700 East 450 South, Saturday, February 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. There will be a reception by the family, at the church, beginning one hour before the services (10 a.m.) The casket will be closed at the reception out of respect for our remembrance of him as a vital man and not as a shadow of himself due to the final disease. Bob will be interred at the Orem City Cemetery after the service. Funeral services under the direction of Walker Sanderson Funeral Home of Orem. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to assist daughter Erin's up coming schooling at UVSC.
