Phyllis Mae Fryer Bowen 1926 ~ 2006 RICHFIELD, UTAH Phyllis Mae Fryer Bowen, 79, of Richfield, Utah, passed away March 20, 2006, in Richfield, after a valiant fight against cancer. She was born May 16, 1926, in Deweyville, Utah, to Clarence Thomas and Margaret Jane Potter Fryer. She married Ross Mantlo Bowen, in the Logan LDS Temple on July 8, 1947. Phyllis was an registered nurse from Dee Memorial Hospital. She loved to keep her hands busy quilting and cross-stitching. She enjoyed traveling and seemed to meet people she knew everywhere. Her grandchildren and great-grand-children were the light of her life and they will truly miss her and her never ending affection and open arms for them and all their friends. She is survived by her husband, Ross, Richfield; children, Rex F (Jeanne) Bowen, Portland, OR; Brenda (Terry) Wright, Murray; Janet (Wayne) Holt, Glenwood; Kurt F (Shirley) Bowen, St. George; and Donna (Kenneth A.) Sorenson, Richfield; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Lois (Evan) Sorenson, Logan; sister-in-law, Sharon (Bill) Griggs, Brigham City; and brother-in-law, David Oldroyd, Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold Robert Fryer and a sister, Joyce Oldroyd. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield LDS Tabernacle, 200 West Center. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again at the mortuary on Saturday morning form 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
