Obituary: Monty Lee Petty

Monty Lee Petty 1942 ~ 2006 Monty Petty, age 63, loving father, grandfather, brother and husband passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 1, 2006, at his home in Taylorsville. He was born October 2, 1942 in Redmond, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his parents Iris and Roy Petty and brothers Johnnie and Jeff. He is survived by his wife, Annie, daughters, Natasha, Shannon and Jennifer and grandchildren Trevvor, Krisanna, Terrick, Cheyanne and Brayden, sister Roylene, and best buds Dave and Doug. No one enjoyed a good joke better than Monty. He loved the company of his families and friends. A memorial service for friends and family will be held on a sunny warm date in the future. Because of Monty's love of dogs and especially his most devoted friend and service dog, Eureka!, the family has established The Monty Lee Petty Scholarship Fund for service dogs, has been set up with Canine Assistance Partners PO Box 3097 Eugene OR 97403 www.Canineassist.org
