Bud S. Albrecht 1926 ~ 2006 RICHFIELD, UTAH - Bud Sherman Albrecht, age 79, of Richfield, died April 6, 2006 in Richfield. He was born May 26, 1926 in Fremont, Utah, a son of Owen and Nola Ellett Albrecht. He attended schools in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1944. He served his country in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army during World War II. Bud married Eleonor Maureen Webster, August 12, 1947 in Loa, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Vaunda Joyce Anderson Christiansen, May 22, 1987 in Junction, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple August 27, 2005. Bud was owner and operator of A & W Distributing in Richfield for over 45 years, selling gasoline, diesel fuel, oil and tires, wholesale, to various merchants in the area. He also owned three service stations in Richfield and one in Salina. Bud was a member of the LDS Church, where he served as a Home Teacher and a Scout Leader. He was a member of the Richfield Riding Club, the Lions Club and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Bud enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding his 4-wheeler and any outdoor activity. He is survived by his wife of Richfield; children, Sherman and Teresa Albrecht of St. George; Kaylene and Fred Chavis of Orem; Robert Albrecht of Taylorsville; Steve and Linda Christiansen of Grantsville; Miles and Rajanee Christiansen of West Valley City; Kelly Christiansen of Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister and brothers, Millie and Barlow Pace of Loa; Owen Lanaie Albrecht of Oklahoma; Newell and Carol Albrecht of Fruita, Colorado, currently serving an LDS Mission in Nauvoo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Albrecht, Nola and Vern Ernstsen; a brother, Wesley Sherwin Albrecht; and a sister, Margaret Albrecht. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 12 noon in the Richfield 1st, 3rd, and 11th LDS Wards chapel, 985 South 400 West, Richfield. Friends may call at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, Richfield, for viewing Monday evening 7-9 p.m. and at the chapel Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the VFW Sevier Post #5050 will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina, and Gunnison, Utah.
