Obituary: George Robert Oakden

George Robert Oakden 07/04/59 ~ 04/07/06 Our Robbie passed away at Cottonwood Hospital April 7, 2006 comforted by his wife and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Oakden and Karen Paice Martinez of Beaver; and infant daughter, Cassie. Rob's kindness, big heart and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his wife, Yolane; his sons, Ryan, Dylan, Zach; his daughter, Haley; his sisters, Gale Ann Oakden, Robyn Larsen, Gina Oakden, Lisa Hulette; his brothers, Mike, Danny, and Mark Oakden; his "other" mom, JoAnne Langdon; and many friends. Rob graduated from Jordan High in Sandy June 6, 1977. He attended S.L. Community College 1983 to 1985, Dixie College 1989 to 1990, and later went on to become certified in hotel management. Rob wished only for a gathering of his family and friends at his favorite place, 8492 Fayeway Drive Sandy, UT. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service held in his honor between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Monday April 17, 2006, Please bring any pictures or stories you might like to share.
