RaNae Louise Shulz Hooper 7/17/32 ~ 4/8/06 RaNae Hooper, lifelong sweet-heart of LaRoy M. Hooper, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 8, 2006. She was born July 17, 1932, in Ogden, Utah to Henry Frederick Shulz and Dorotha Bell Beckstead. She graduated from Ogden High School and married LaRoy Muir Hooper, June 21, 1950, in the Salt Lake Temple. Her greatest joy came in her family life and rearing her sons. She was a tireless champion on their behalf and a constant source of support and encouragement. RaNae was an accomplished Executive Secretary. Career highlights included working at Primary Children's Hospital, the LDS Church Welfare Services Department, and 18 years as Elder L. Tom Perry's Executive Secretary until retiring in 1994. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held many callings during her life. After retirement, she and LaRoy served two LDS missions, 18 months in the Australia Melbourne mission and 2 years 3 months at the Manila Philippines Temple. RaNae had a great love of the mountains and enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and ATVing in the Uintas. The family cabin was a source of wonderful memories. She is survived by her husband, LaRoy; sons, Lynn (Val), Gary (Bonnie), and Steven (Genneal); sisters Jeneane (Geroge) Palmer and Sandra (Dick) Payne; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chase Lane Chapel, 1125 N. 400 W., Centerville, UT. Viewings will be held Wednesday, April 12th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, and from 10:00 -10:45 a.m. at the Chase Lane Chapel on Thursday.
