Thelma Angelina Allen Threlkeld Eggen 1909 ~ 2006 Thelma Angelina Allen Threlkeld Eggen, age 97, died on April 8, 2006 at the Comfort Cottage Assisted Living Home in Washington, Utah of natural causes. Mrs. Eggen was born in Los Angeles, California on January 21, 1909, to John Clemens Allen and Margaret Ann Jones Allen. The youngest of seven children, she was orphaned at age four and raised in Salt Lake City by her Aunt Martha and Uncle Jack Threlkeld. She was married October 19, 1936 to Henry Eggen, her husband of 41 years, who preceded her in death on August 25, 1981. Mrs. Eggen is survived by their four children: Shirley May Ward, of East Wenatchee, WA; Jack Henry Eggen, of LaVerkin, Utah; Robert Jay Eggen, of Clio, CA; Rock Theron Eggen, of Denver, CO; and by eight grandchildren and 20 great-grand-children. Mrs. Eggen was a loving wife and mother and a long time member of the LDS Church. She was known by her family, friends, and neighbors as a kind, caring, and loving person who had a wonderful sense of humor and always looked to the brighter side of life. The funeral services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2006. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 at Wasatch Lawn and one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
