Geneel Oldroyd Stewart An Elect Lady of Faith Our cherished angel mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Geneel Oldroyd Stewart passed away April 8, 2006 in Tooele, Utah at the age of 89. Geneel was born Oct. 18, 1916 to Isaac Willard Oldroyd and Tena Elevia Jensen in Monroe, Utah. She was raised in Venice, Utah and graduated from Richfield High School. Geneel attended BYU and received a teaching degree. She taught elementary school in Ephraim, Richfield, Sigurd and Tooele. She married Leo Grant Stewart, Sept 13, 1941 in the LDS Manti Temple. They enjoyed 55 wonderful years together. Geneel had a love for the Relief Society where she served as president at the stake or ward level for a total of 20 years. Geneel is survived by her five children. Marilyn Shields (Bob) Stansbury Park, Utah; Keith Stewart (Leslie) Taylorsville, Utah; Connie Rockwell (Michael) Tooele, Utah; Ileen Chris (Michael) Santa Clara, Utah; Paula Watkins (Kirk) Santa Clara, Utah. She is also survived by two sisters, Una Payne (Albert) Payson, Utah and Carol Ware (Lowell), Midvale, Utah. She has 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Her family was the love of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Jay Oldroyd. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Tooele Utah North Stake Center 583 North 270 East, Tooele, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday the 12th at the Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main Street, Tooele from 6-8 p.m. and at the church prior to the funeral service from 11:30-12:30. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
