Kevin Nolan Fink "Gone Fishing" On Friday, April 7th, 2006 my best friend and husband suddenly passed away. Kevin Nolan Fink was only 54 years old. We were high school sweethearts and had been married for 35 years. We had two sons that we are so very proud of and they married two wonderful women and started their own lives and families. They survive him; Lonnie (Alyssa) from Austin, Texas and Layne (Megan) from Brunswick, Maine. Layne is currently proudly serving in the U.S. Navy for his country following in the footsteps of his dad, who also served in the Navy during the Vietnam War for nine years. Although our children lived out of state, they were in constant contact with their dad. We have five wonderful grandchildren, which grandpa adored and cherished. They are Korynn, Devin, Keirsten, Damien, and Mackenzie. Kevin lived for his family and they meant everything to him. He also waited each year for Spring to come so he could get just the "right spot" at Strawberry and spend each weekend fishing alongside his "Best fishin' Buddies" Butch and Curt, his brothers-in-law. Kevin was one of the most giving people on this earth. There was not a computer he couldn't fix, and there isn't a member of his family or friends that haven't benefited from his knowledge. He would never turn down any ones request of help for anything. He worked for TOMAX for 16 years and was a dedicated and valued employee. Kevin is survived by his wife, Rolayne Probert Fink; his two sons, Lonnie Kevin (Alyssa) and Layne Nolan (Megan). His five precious grandchildren, who meant the world to him; his parents, Nolan and Jeannette Fink; his siblings, Kathy Rhoades (Jim), Sheri Murray (Curt), Kenny, Nolene Brooks (Larry), Laura Hansen (Greg), Alan Fink (Debbie), Cyndee Rhoades (Merlin) and Mark (Keith). His wife's family and spouses, Linda Reynolds (Butch), Susan Filby (Lloyd), Margie Jacobson (Scott), Becke Probert, Jed Johnson (Cheryl), Lisa Crawford (Coley) and Scott Johnson. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lanez Probert; 52 nieces and nephews; and 25 grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Melvin C. Probert; mother-in-law, Darlene Probert; grandparents Frederich Werner and Mary Bangerter Finch, Louis and Minnie Jannett Jensen Racine. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14th at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, with a viewing from 6-8 on Thursday evening and one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 So. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
