Arizona point guard Mustafa Shakur has made himself eligible for the NBA draft but has not hired an agent and may return to the Wildcats for his senior season this fall.

The 6-foot-3 junior from Philadelphia averaged 11.2 points and 4.7 assists per game. He shot 42 percent from the field in 33 games.

"I think this is a good opportunity to further showcase my skills," Shakur said in a release. "I'm keeping my options open, but I'm looking forward to showing people exactly the type of player I am."

Shakur has averaged 9.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists as a three-year starter. He is a career 45 percent shooter, 37 percent from 3-point range.

"Obviously, we're hoping he's going to return," Arizona coach Lute Olson said. "He would be one of our captains next year and he has done a great job of providing leadership in the weight room and on the floor already this offseason."
