MOAB — A pair of accidents marked the beginning of the holiday week for Grand County Sheriff's deputies.
Two teenagers were injured when they lost control of a four-wheeler near Moab Tuesday.
Grand County Sheriff's deputies said the 15- and 16-year-olds were westbound on West Water Drive when the driver lost control of the four-wheeler, causing it to flip. Both the driver and passenger were thrown onto the road, deputies said.
The two were taken to Allen Memorial Hospital in Moab with road rash on their faces, chests and hands. Also Tuesday, a 47-year-old Orem man suffered possible head injuries when he rolled his rock crawler on Potato Salad Hill. Sheriff's deputies said Bret Jackson was attempting to climb the popular hill when he lost control and rolled his vehicle about five times. Jackson was taken to Allen Memorial Hospital.
