Obituary: Leslee Jewell Rasmussen

Leslee Jewell Rasmussen "Our Sweet Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter & Aunt" Leslee Jewell Rasmussen passed away April 12, 2006 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born October 10, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lee and LaRee Checketts Jewell. You had such an uncanny way of touching people and bringing a special light into their lives. No one could not know you without being blessed. Leslee graduated from Copper Hills High School in 1997. On August 16, 2003 she married her eternal soul mate. On February 11, 2006 their marriage was solemnized in the Bountiful Temple and sealed as a family for eternity. She loved shopping-especially if it included a new pair of shoes. She is survived by her loving husband, Justin; two precious sons, Ian (2) and Kyler (7 months); her mother, LaRee Jewell; sister, LynDee (Shane) Royce; grandparents, Clarence (Effie) Jewell; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also survived by her in-laws: Gary (Lynette) Rasmussen, Shane (Becky) Rasmussen; Tera (Dale) Bradford; nieces and nephews, Clay, Shaelyn, Kaycee, and Bailey. Preceded in death by her father, Lee N. Jewell; grandparents, Duwain (Bertha) Checketts and Clarence Rasmussen. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 12 Noon at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 So. Vine Street. Friends and family may attend her viewing Friday, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11:45 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses that gave her such loving and wonderful care. She appreciated everything you did for her and thought of a lot of you as friends.
