Hannah is the name of this pretty kitty, a sweet 4-year-old tabby mix. She loves attention and purrs as soon as anyone even looks at her. She will be a charming addition to any home or family. Her adoption fee is $65.
This handsome fellow is Mozart, a 5-year-old male mix of maybe husky and heeler, and maybe another breed or two. He has unusual blue eyes and he is a big, sweet, submissive baby. He seems a little hand-shy, as if maybe someone has been unkind to him, but he still adores people and being petted. He knows how to sit and he appears to be well housebroken. His personality is precious and he loves treats more than toys. Mozart's adoption fee is $95.
Hannah and Mozart would also like to remind families to make humane decisions with Easter approaching. Animal Services strongly discourages parents from giving children any kind of live baby animal as gifts. Bunnies, chicks and ducklings are often purchased on impulse as novelties this time of year, and sadly, few have happy endings. Many of these tiny fragile animals are injured or killed by excited children, and others are abandoned in fields or ponds where they don't survive long after the novelty has worn off. Chocolate and stuffed animals are a much kinder alternative. If you are ready to commit eight to 10 years to a pet rabbit, give a homeless bunny a second chance by visiting a shelter or calling a rabbit rescue. And you can see happy Hannah and cute Mozart at Salt Lake County Animal Services, 511 W. 3900 S. or call 269-7499. And access our animals online at www.slcoanimalservices.org.
