Individuals can take part in Sandy's Clean Air 5K Walk/Run April 29 at Hidden Valley Park, 11600 S. Wasatch Drive. The race, which is sponsored by the Utah Department of Environmental Quality, Sandy City Parks and Recreation and Utah Asthma Task Force, begins at 10 a.m.
Participants can pre-register Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 21 at the Sandy Parks and Recreation office, 499 E. 8680 South. Or obtain forms online at forms@cleanair.utah.gov and submit them via mail. The cost is $10 per person or $6 per immediate family member when registering for three or more people. Pre-registration guarantees participants T-shirts.
After April 21, participants can register at the Parks and Recreation office for $15 person. No family discount applies. Participants can also register where the walk begins the morning of the walk up until 15 minutes before it begins. For more information call 536-4480.
