Twenty-seven Utah post offices will provide late-night collections of mail on Monday, April 17, to assist last-minute tax filers. In addition, six post offices will extend window service hours until midnight and 29 locations have automated postal centers that are available 24 hours a day.
Free Krispy Kreme donuts await those mailing tax returns between 5-7 p.m., and 10 p.m. to midnight on April 17 at the Salt Lake Main Post Office, 1760 W. 2100 South.
Those wanting to avoid crowds are encouraged to mail their income tax returns early in the day. Correct postage is required. First-class postage is 39 cents for the first ounce and 24 cents for each additional ounce. Postal customers are encouraged to check the collection times posted on each box to ensure pickup on April 17.
Those who mail late on April 17 should take their tax returns to collection boxes outside post offices with extended hours. While six post offices are extending retail hours, stamps can be purchased through vending machines at each post office. The following post offices will provide collections only until midnight on April 17:

Washington Blvd.; Ogden Town Station Post Office, 2730 Washington Blvd.; Mount Ogden Station, 1145 E. 4600 South; Orem Main Post Office, 22 W. Center; Park City Main Post Office, 2100 Park Ave.; Pleasant Grove Post Office, 180 S. 100 West; Richfield Main Post Office, 93 N. Main; Salt Lake City Sugar House Station, 1953 S. 1300 East; Salt Lake City Murray Branch, 4989 S. State; Salt Lake City West Valley City Branch, 3490 S. 4400 West; Vernal Main Post Office, 67 N. 800 West; St. George Red Rocks Main Office, 1150 E. Riverside Drive; Tooele Post Office, 65 N. The following post offices have automated postal centers. Customers using credit or debit cards and requesting a mail label will receive an April 17 postmark if the label is printed before midnight:
