GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Larry and Debra Wunderly family was selected as one of five "Families of Distinction" in the city of Green Bay. Presented by the local YWCA, the awards were given at a formal banquet March 21. The Wunderlys, who have three small children, are members of the Green Bay 2nd Ward, Green Bay Wisconsin Stake.

In the presentation, it was noted: "Larry and Deb are dedicated not only to the overall well being of their three young children, but to their community as well. Raised as Mormons, they say faith plays a significant role in their family life. Deb says, 'We were taught from infancy how to serve. It's just what we do, and we're happy doing it.'

"Larry and Deb share their time and talents daily with the families and staff at Tank Elementary School. Working together as a family means their children are usually involved in their activities as well. . . . Deb heads the Parent Network and spends time with Hmong families doing projects that reduce language barriers and encourage them to be comfortable and active participants in the organization."
