Obituary: Maxine Hortin Knowlton

Maxine Hortin Knowlton 1917 ~ 2006 Maxine Horton Knowlton, age 89, died April 14, 2006 at St. Mark's Hospital. Her family was at her bedside. Born March 3, 1917 to Hazel Jane and Evington Watson. Maxine attended East High School and LDS Business College. She married her childhood sweetheart Jack Knowlton. They were together for 54 wonderful years. Max loved to dance and was a member of Hi-Steppers Social Club. She loved playing tennis and golf. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by daughter Jan Anderson (Gary), son John Knowlton, Jr. (Sandy), grandchildren; Tricia, Brian (Amy), Kelly (Brad), John III (Lennie) and great grandchildren; Lauren, Nicholas and Mikayla. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive where friends may call at 11:00 prior to the service.
