Obituary: Shirley Staples Clawson

Shirley Staples Clawson 3/24/1930~4/13/2006 Shirley Staples Clawson died April 13, 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born in Salt Lake City to Harold A. and Irene Staples. She married Robert Kingsley "Kink" Clawson and they spent 57 years together living in Salt Lake City and Willard, Utah and San Diego CA. Shirley is survived by her husband, sons: Kraig S. Clawson and Kevan K. Clawson. Also by a brother, Richard E. Staples, a sister, MaryAnn Clements and a sister-in-law Judith A. Staples. Her grandchildren Michael, Jeremiah, Isaac, Seth, Elizabeth, Stosh, Ann, John, and great-grandchildren, Robby, and Benjamin will be missed. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, on both sides of the family, that mean a great deal to Kink and Shirley, especially Lynette and Christopher Clements who were always in the right place to help all of us with nursing and words of wisdom. Kink and Shirley want to also thank the Reverend France A. Davis for being first at the hospital for Kink, Stan and Shirley and first with a prayer. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, brother John H. Staples, an infant daughter, Margaret and an infant son John. Graveside services for Shirley will be held on Thursday April 20, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 North "N" Street.
