Obituary: Michael Raymond Child

Michael Raymond Child 1953 ~ 2006 Michael Raymond Child, age 53, passed away April 13, 2006. Mike was born August 26, 1953 to Raymond J. Child and Mildred J. Pattis. His mother passed away when he was five. His father later married Marilyn Curtis who helped raise him. Mike married Patsy Duncan in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which he held many callings. Mike had a passion for woodworking and could repair anything. He loved gardening and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife; and three children, Amy Child, Cpl. M. Daniel Child (USMC), and Elder Derrick R. Child (serving in the Mongolia, Ulanbatar mission); and many other family members. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at the Woods Cross 13th Ward Chapel, 1509 W. 1500 S., Woods Cross. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
