Obituary: Sylvia Joy Morrell

Sylvia Joy Morrell 1935 ~ 2006 WEST BOUNTIFUL - Sylvia Joy Morrell, age 70, returned home to Heavenly Father after a short battle with brain cancer April 13, 2006. She was born October 26, 1935 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Leonard and Sylvia Blacker Burleigh. She grew up in Evanston, Wyoming and graduated from Evanston High School. She married Alton JT Morrell September 7, 1956 and was sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple January 5, 1978. She held numerous church callings but cherished her position as a temple ordinance worker in the Bountiful LDS Temple for two years. She is survived by her husband, JT; sons, Landon (Marie), Calvin, Glen (Wendy); daughters, Janis (Layne), Jaylene (Ray); sister, Marie; 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia; and father, Leonard; and precious great-grandson, Tristan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2006, 11:00 a.m. in the West Bountiful 10th Ward Chapel, 1730 North 900 West. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Wednesday at the church from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
