Barbara Lish Robbins 1930 ~ 2006 Our dear mother, sister, grandmother and aunt passed away April 14, 2006 in Salt Lake City. She was born May 9, 1930 in Rexburg, Idaho. Her parents were Seymour Lish and Marie Pope Lish. Her family moved to Salt Lake City when she was a young girl where she grew up and attended West High School. She married Edgar B. Robbins, Jr. February 26, 1949. They raised their family in Salt Lake City until 1974 when Ed's job took them to Saratoga, California. They returned to Salt Lake City in 1981 and subsequently moved to Ogden again because of Ed's employment. After Ed passed away in 1996, Barbara remained in their Ogden home before moving back to Salt Lake City two years ago. Barbara was a devoted wife to Ed and an involved mother in all of her children's school, church, and sports activities. She loved to play tennis, golf and swim in her California pool. She had a desire to help others and served for many years as a volunteer Candy Striper. She also worked for the Junior League of Ogden and the Ogden Art Center. Reading and old movies were favorites of hers. Barbara also enjoyed spending time with and traveling with her girlfriends. She had a special place in her heart for her cat, Cleo, who was her constant companion the last few years. Barbara is survived by her children, Scott (Vicky), Lance (Sue), Lesli Glandon (Tom) and Brett (Monica); grandchildren, Jenifer, Kyle, Kevan, Sam, Caitlin, Spencer, Amy, Kirstyn, Niel, and Anna; brother, Farrel; sisters, Helen Gracie and Janet Robinson. Preceded in her death by siblings, Gordon Lish, Rex Lish, Howard Lish, and Iola Dee. Memorial services will be in Salt Lake City Wednesday, April 19th, 11:30 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, where her family may gather one half hour prior to the services. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Drive.
